Hi, I’m Lindsay.

I began my career in communications as a founding member of what is now Big Wing Interactive. While there I served as a content specialist and as the company’s first social media manager, providing a voice for brands from regional grocery store chains to national brands of consumer goods like Pavestone Pavers and Crayola Play Sand.

As a member OPUBCO Communications Group — Big Wing’s parent company — I had the opportunity to join the newsroom in the company’s flagship property, The Oklahoman. There I served as the web editor for NewsOK Sports, Oklahoma’s largest news and information website, and helped to guide the newsroom to 100% participation in social media.

Following several football seasons and a run into the NBA Finals for the Oklahoma City Thunder, I returned to the company’s digital marketing arm as a project manager for the agency’s Connecticut division. While there I oversaw website builds and redesigns, SEO/SEM implementations, and social media management for businesses large and small in the eastern half of the U.S.

In 2013 I joined the University of Central Oklahoma as a staff writer and in 2014 was promoted to communications and marketing coordinator, furthering my responsibilities that supported the communications and public relations needs of a diverse metropolitan university made up of six colleges, 17,000 students,  and more than 3,000 full- and part-time faculty and staff.

Since 2016 I’ve been a member of the team at Science Museum Oklahoma where I serve as the communications director and oversee the public relations and marketing arm of a 350,000 sq. ft. museum that serves more than 600,000 people annually. We’ve been recognized by USA Today for our must-see exhibits (not once, but twice), featured on NPR, and are consistently recognized as a top museum in the region and state by readers of The Oklahoman, Oklahoma Gazette, The Journal Record, and Metro Family Magazine.

I’ve been honored as a Rising Star in collegiate public relations, am a proud alumna of Leadership Oklahoma City’s highly-competitive LOYAL program, a past president of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s Associate Board, a past participant in Rotary International’s Global Study Exchange, and a current member of the deadCenter Film Festival Advisory Board.

My first, middle, and last names are all towns in Oklahoma (!) and included on my long list of life goals is taking a picture with all 50 state signs. I started in high school — I still have some work to do.
